Alison S. Carroll / Director

A professional translator and interpreter, Alison Carroll runs a small company in Arlington, Virginia which specializes in providing language services to law firms and other organizations involved in international commerce. She received her B.A. from Harvard University in 1982, a Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies and International Economics from The Johns Hopkins University in 1989 and three certifications in translation from Georgetown University in 1991 and 1996. Her involvement with the lifesharing movement began in 2000 when her brother, Eric Sondhaus, joined the Cadmus community in Great Barrington, Massachusetts after many years of conventional care. Eric joined Heartbeet in September, 2003 and has thrived, leading Alison to deepen her commitment to Heartbeet and assume some responsibility for furthering its mission through joining the Board.
