Dr. Josh Carpenter/ DirectorDr. Josh Carpenter is a counselor, educator and lifelong “connector” who has worked in a number of positions in the field of human services, serving clients in Vermont and throughout the US. He earned a BA in psychology from Oberlin College, an MS in Experiential Education from Lesley College, an MA in Counseling from Johnson State College and a PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Idaho.
Josh’s professional work has been far-reaching, ranging from providing support for families through direct case work and case management, instruction for students in higher education, program development, evaluation and management to overseeing certification and compliance efforts.
Josh lives in Vermont with his partner of 20 years, Annie Volmer, and his two children, 17-year-old Abigail who is a senior at St. Johnsbury Academy and 13-year-old Lelia, who has Down syndrome and attends Craftsbury Academy.
