Else Wolf / DirectorElse Wolf was born in Bremen, Germany. During her training as a social worker, she was introduced to Camphill schools in Scotland. She began her training in curative education there and continued it at Beaver Run, a Camphill school in Pennsylvania. While at Beaver Run, Else has run a pottery workshop, looked after the dairy cows, worked in the garden, performed many puppet shows for and with children, and directed various community pageants and festivals. She served on the Eastern Regional Council of the Anthroposophical Society and has represented Camphill Special Schools to AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools in North America). In recent years, she has given workshops on Waldorf education and Curative Education in Thailand, South Korea and Kenya. Together with her husband Bernie, Else raised her family of five children in Beaver Run while life sharing with students with special needs and co-workers from many different countries. They have been house parents and carried many other responsibilities (as teachers and Executive Directors) in the community over the last thirty years. Else took up teaching fourteen years ago and is currently advisor for the eleventh grade.
